I have met several cruisers when visiting Isla Mujeres but they share few of the stories about life at sea, and the dangers they face. Maik takes you right into the storms. In a couple of places in the book, he writes a segment about what REALLY happened, and then writes an alternative conclusion to the tale. The reader makes the choice, then he lets the reader know what actually happened. It's a great technique that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend this to anyone who sails, or knows a sailor, or thinks about becoming a sailor, or anyone who wants a well-crafted story
